We have wonderful places to visit close by: Turtle Bay Exploration Park and Museum with many things to explore — jungle gyms, kid's art, live butterflies and other exhibits, famous Sundial Bridge and river trails; Shasta Caverns are beautiful and fun to visit; kids really love the water slide park and the snow at two breathtaking mountains — Mount Shasta and Mount Lassen (most times with snow through June). It's only 1 ½ hours away to ski or ice skate at an outdoor rink; art galleries and two shopping malls are close (15 minutes to Redding). Great golf courses are in the vicinity.
